My cat's eye looks like it has a blood clot. Is she going blind?

Gently clean it with warm water, and monitor it. If it looks infected, or she rubs at it, you see redness in the eye, or eye discharge, then I would take her into a vet. I hope this helps!

Your cat may have toothroot abscesses that broke through into the sinuses or are affecting her tear ducts. There may also be an inflammatory condition of the gland of the third eyelid. You need to make an appointment with your veterinarian for a hands-on exam.

This looks like it could be blood in the anterior chamber of the eye. This could occur secondary to an infection or trauma. I would recommend having your vet examine Baba to determine what might be going on.

Oh my. This appears to possibly be an injury to the eye and subsequent infection. It is hard to tell the degree of injury based on the photos, a vet exam is definitely needed her. I would highly recommend taking Mow to your local vet right away to get this eye tested, fully examined and treated. Best case scenario is that there isn't permanent damage done to this eye and antibiotics/pain medication /- drainage of a potential abscess are needed to get Mow better. It doesn't look too bad in the picture. Poppy may have injured herself by rubbing her face against something in the home. I would keep an eye on it for now. if it gets bigger or appears infected (redness, swelling, warm to the touch, pus), then have her seen by a vet. I hope this helps!

What a beautiful face! It almost looks like this might simply be an "eye booger," so blink her eyes and see if it moves. If it moves, you can use a wet cotton ball and wipe her eye, this should wipe it away. If its not moving when she blinks, and its adhered to the cornea (front surface of the eye), as long as she isn't pawing at it or squinting like she's painful and as long as she's otherwise acting normally, just make an appointment at your convenience. If it seems to bothering her, though, get her in more urgently. If she's pawing at it at all, put an Ecollar on her to prevent her from causing damage to her eye. If the blood appears to be inside the eye itself, this is called hyphema - the most common cause is trauma, but it can also be caused by a severe eye infection, a bleeding disorder, or certain systemic illnesses such as lymphoma or FIP. If you think the blood may be trauma-related, I would recommend having her examined by a vet as soon as you can - eyes are very delicate, and many conditions can lead to vision loss or permanent damage if they are not treated promptly.
