My cat eats too fast and throws up. How do I stop her from vomiting?

By doing that the kibbles smell stronger and are more attractive to cats. Also, they fill up the stomach quickly, so your cats will feel better after each meal. Also, adding water to kibbles increases general water intake, which is beneficial for health in many cats.

There are a huge number of reasons that a cat will vomit. Since it sounds like Luna is mostly vomiting undigested food, she may simply be eating the dry food too quickly, so canned food is a great idea to try. Canned food is actually more biologically appropriate and better for a cat's health than dry food, so feeding Luna only canned food is a great idea. It depends on how soon after eating your cat vomits. If food is consumed and then almost immediately regurgitated (still looks whole, not digested), then s/he may be eating too fast. If it is several hours later and the food is partially digested, s/he may have a food allergy or intolerance, a gastrointestinal disorder, or some other underlying medical condition. For cats that gobble their food, it helps to feed more frequent, smaller meals throughout the day. Or you can put a couple balls or small blocks (too large to be swallowed) in the bowl so your cat has to eat around the obstacles. This will slow down his/her eating.

If the slow feeder hasn't helped, I recommend to have Simone examined by the veterinarian. It's possible she has a parasite, a food allergy, IBD...etc When pets don't respond to home care, it's time to visit the veterinarian. I hope this helps.

You may consider having Layla seen by her veterinarian to rule out a tooth issue as a cause. If a dental issue is ruled out, she may be eating too quickly and you may consider feeding smaller amounts more frequently or purchasing a slow feeder such as the one I have linked below. Try feeding smaller, more frequent meals. If Smokey eats fast, try a 'slow feed' bowl to address the issue. Sometimes, switching to a canned food may help. If the vomiting persists or worsens, have him examined by your veterinarian.
