What are small white spots on my cat's ear that don't bother her?

Those white spots on Ed's ears could just be areas of normal pigment changes or areas where the hair is naturally thinner. As long as Ed is not itchy around his ears, does not have increased hair loss, and these spots do not get larger I would not be concerned and just monitor the area. If it is not associated with itchiness or discomfort, there is no need to be concerned about this. When our pets get older we start to notice more lumps and bumps appearing in random places. You'll want to continue to monitor the growth and if you notice any changes in size, shape, or color visit you local Veterinarian and request a fine needle aspiration. This will allow your doctor to identify the cell type of the growth and proceed with an appropriate treatment plan.

The spots could be from your cat itching excessively at her ears, or they could be a little bruises under the skin. It is difficult to know which is going on based on the pictures. I would recommend taking your cat into the vet because if it is bruises this could indicate a bleeding or clotting disorder. Hopefully it is nothing too serious going on, but I would have it checked out just to be safe.

Please understand that it's impossible to say what this lesion is with 100% certainty without examining cells from this lesion microscopically. With that said, Tigra's lesion looks as though it could be a cyst. Most cysts are benign lesions. Many rupture and some refill at a later date, but they won't go away completely on their own. It would be best to have Tigra examined by her vet within the next month or so, or sooner if it's changing dramatically or bothering her. Until her appointment, keep a close eye on it for changes, but don't worry about applying any topical medications.

There can be multiple causes for a small bump on the tip of a cat's ear, such as a cyst, focal infection, small growth, or another underlying medical cause. It is difficult to advise you further about Timon without being able to see what you are, but if you are concerned or if this developed quickly I would recommend having him evaluated by his regular veterinarian to determine what may be going on, and if any treatment is needed at this time. These are probably not sun burn areas, as those would be red and ulcerated in appearance. Instead these are probably freckles. To make sure that there are no other causes of this (i.e. Cancer, skin disease) I would recommend having your vet take a look at best areas or sharing a photo via private consultation request here with one of the available experts.
