The symptoms you have described could have many causes, including periodontal disease, stomatitis caused by an autoimmune disease or a virus such as FIV, a tumor in the mouth, a nasopharyngeal polyp, trauma to the inside of the mouth, or ulcers in the mouth secondary to kidney failure. Most of these are incredibly painful, and it is important to diagnose the cause so that the most appropriate treatment can be selected.

Hello. Roxie probably has some significant dental disease, & this is often accompanied by a condition called stomatitis, which is a chronic irritation of the tissues within the mouth. The exact cause is unknown, but it is often multifactorial involving bacterial infections & an abnormal immune system. Your history definitely points to this, but your veterinarian needs to confirm things. Treatment can be relatively simple with antibiotics & periodic use of steroids. Most important will be an initial examination & cleaning of the teeth under general anesthesia. In the worse case, all the teeth may need to be removed because they present an ever presence of antigens in the mouth that promote the painful lesions. Brentney could have a severe infection in her mouth, or could have a foreign caught in the back her of mouth. I would take her into a vet right away, it's concerning to me that it smells like poop, and I would be worried that there may be dead or severely infected tissue in her mouth. She needs a thorough mouth exam by a vet, please take her into one now.

Poor Jada Leigh! it sounds like she has a few things going on at the moment. The foul smelling saliva, only eating soft food, and acting like it hurts to swallow are indications of a dental problem. She could have a loose or broken tooth, could have severe gingivitis, or could have a tooth root abscess. As for the yellow mucus in her eyes, that can be a sign of an eye infection. The eye is such a delicate and important structure that any problem with it should be considered an emergency. That's because leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. I would take her into a vet right for both her dental problems and her eye problems. She needs veterinary care now because the dental problems will be very painful to her (and you cannot give her pain meds at home as human ones are toxic to cats and are fatal if given), and eye problems need to be treated promptly. Hello. I am concerned that Snowball may have some issues with the tissues deeper in his mouth. There is a condition called stomatitis, which can cause bleeding, inflammation & significant pain. Your cat will be reluctant to eat as it hurts to swallow. This sounds very much like she may have a tooth problem or a mouth ulcer or an injury. Since she apparently is in pain when you try to touch her around the mouth, I suggest you take her to your veterinarian for a dental exam. She may need a tooth removed or be treated for an ulcer or have tartar removed.
