Why is my cat dragging her butt and always hungry? Is it worms?

Yes, I would worry about it in that it's a sign of something medically wrong, such as intestinal worms or anal sac impaction, but it's not serious at all. I would take Talia into the vet with a sample of her feces for the vet to examine tomorrow. The vet can look at her feces under the microscope to diagnose if she does have worms, and can prescribe a deworming treatment for her. The vet can also express her anal sacs.

This sounds suspicious that your cats anal glands may be full. The anal glands are located just inside the rectum at the 4 and 10 o'clock position and when they are full they can cause irritation resulting in the pet scooting across the carpet. So this is a common presentation. Typically the anal glands are expressed by pets when they go poop, but in obese or overweight pets this is difficult and can result in them not being expressed properly. So first thing is to get the anal glands checked by a veterinarian to avoid having them rupture because of over-filling. The second thing is to get your kitty on a low fat diet or weight loss routine, such as decreasing portions and limited extra calorie snacks. That's definitely abnormal behavior. I would be worried about his anal glands from that description. It's possible that he had an anal glands problem at one point and developmented a scooting habit that stuck. Another possibility is that he is itchy - this can be caused by food or environmental allergies. I would recommend asking your vet if they thought a hypoallergenic diet (for allergies) or a high fever diet (like royal canin fiber response, for anal glands) would be most appropriate for him and go from there. Your cat's diarrhea could be caused by several things. The most common things that cause diarrhea in a cat are intestinal parasites, irritable bowel disease, or colitis (and inflammation of the colon). I would recommend taking your cat back to the vet again this summer. She may need a dewormer, or antibiotics to help clear up the diarrhea. She may also need to stay on a special diet for the rest of her life to prevent the issue from coming back.

It sounds like Minerva isn’t feeling well. The fact that she is not enjoying her favorite treats and food, as well as vomiting, is an indication that her stomach is upset. Sometimes parasites are the cause. Scooting her bottom on the floor can indicate parasites as can the upset stomach. Not all worms are visible to the naked eye and not all worms pass out in the stool. Stomach upset can also be due to many other causes including inflammatory bowel disease and bacterial overgrowth. Scooting her bottom on the floor could also be related to anal gland problems, or if she had diarrhea and could feel some of the feces still stuck to her rectum. If the signs have been going on for over 48 hours, I would recommend to have her seen by the veterinarian. Try to bring in a fresh sample of the stool in case the doctor wants to test for worms. If she does it one or two times, then it is likely a normal response to some feces or liquid stuck to her bum. However if she is doing this often, then this is a sign of full anal glands or intestinal parasites which cause irritation to the rectum as they exit, in particular tapeworms. Please, de-worm Aldo (you can buy de-worming medications over the counter) but if there is no improvement after a few days, you should take her to your local vets to get her anal glands checked.
