My cat died after vet treatment for breathing problems. Overdose?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Female | 9.03 lbs

My cat for last few days have had breathing problems as she couldn’t breathe took her to vet today and vet gave her .30grams or whatever of Flusapex brought her home her breathing became more eratic and would open her mouth was dry reaching and died on my lap today on way back to vet she couldn’t breathe was having a seizure and I couldlnt do anything happened all within 30 mins is this right? Or was this an over dose. My cat had a small heart murmur.

I am so sorry! Poor Munchie! Flusapex is lasix, which is a diuretic used for heart failure. If she was given 0.30 mls that is an appropriate dose. My assumption is that the Vet though Munchie was in heart failure. Trouble breathing is serious and the only thing I could think of that could have been done differently is that Munchie should have been admitted and hospitalized for oxygen therapy and monitoring. But if her heart failure was severe the outcome may still have been the same.

Again I am very sorry for your loss, Munchie sounded like she was very sick! I hope this helps in some way.
