My cat has diarrhea and still won't eat after vet treatment?

However, foreign body intestinal obstruction/blockages, intestinal malabsorption issues that can cause inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) or exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI), chronic pancreatitis, or cancerous processes, do not necessarily cause changes on screening blood tests. If Sachi has not yet had abdominal x-rays or an ultrasound, consider talking to your vet about these tests as his next diagnostic step. If he has a foreign body obstructing his intestines, this is a surgical emergency, and these tests would be helpful in obtaining a diagnosis. Poor guy. This sounds a bit more than just a bladder worm (very rare) and simple colitis. He could have a bleeding disorder (coagulopathy). I would recommend taking him back to the vet asap for a recheck and testing to see if he has a blood clotting abnormality (PT/PTT/ACT test and baseline bloodwork). It appears that she has been tested and treated for many of the common causes of diarrhea, but unfortunately this is a bit more complicated. When this happens, we end up having to do more testing to help identify the cause of the problem. If the orbifloxacin is not working, then I would ask the vet about doing more diagnostics rather than more treatment.
