From the photo, Taz looks as though he may be a Siamese mix based on his coat coloration. It is quite common for Siamese breeds to be cross eyed. Normally, these cats adjust very well to being cross eyed and get around like any other cat would. Potentially, his jump could be off due to his vision as he is more crossed than some but it is difficult to say without observing him jump. He could also have problems with his back or hind limbs that make him jump abnormally. If you are worried, it is always best to have him examined by his vet. As far as his meow sounding abnormal, it would be helpful for you to take a video of him meowing to show your veterinarian. This may just be his normal voice or he may have something going on in his throat around his vocal cords. Some young cats can develop benign polyps in there throat/nose. Hope this helps! There are very many cross-eyed cats and they are quite able to adjust to this condition. Since he is feral and managed to survive to about 6 months of age, he is quite proficient at catching prey and making the adjustment for it. Crosseyedness is a congenital condition and there is no treatment. He should be fine. He looks like a pretty cool cat in veery good condition. Just treat him like a normal cat. He is not in danger and I am sure he can manage very well. If you want to protect him feed him regularly in the morning and in the evening and lock him up (in the barn if he is a barn cat, or take him into the house if he is supposed to become a house cat) over night. Most cats get preyed upon by coyotes, etc. at dusk or dawn.

My kitten's voice is strange, squeaky, or silent. Should I worry?

I wouldn't be concerned if this is how he has always sounded. Upper respiratory infections are very common in young kittens and sometimes swelling can affect the vocal folds - it's possible that he had some scar tissue formed. It's also possible that this is how he was born. If he does have trouble swallowing or breathing, or if he regurgitates or vomits you should see your vet.

A decrease in vocalization can be due to a variety of reasons, including an upper respiratory infection, a growth in the back of the throat, tracheal irritation, or another underlying issue. I would recommend having him evaluated by your regular veterinarian to determine what the underlying cause may be, and to determine a treatment plan if needed. Good luck!

Cats have all different 'Meows" just like humans. some are loud and some make the motions with their mouths but no sounds come out. As long as this is how Enzou has always been and assuming that he is healthy, this is not a concern. If this is a new development or if he is sick, have him examined by the veterinarian. Caboose is a cutie! An ear infection would not likely make him lose his meow but a severe respiratory tract infection could have damaged the vocal chords. Some cats however have very soft or absent meows and it’s not pathologic. It’s likely impossible to know which one is that play here.
