Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Male | neutered | 13 years and 8 months old | 7.5 lbs
Is it common, or known, for a cat's criatinine level to drop during the 1st stage of chronic kidney disease? I am asking because this is the case with my 14 year old cat who was diagnosed 6 months ago at a criatinine level of 2.5. Tonight he tested at just 1.8. And his bun level was only slightly elevated at 44. If this is not something that is common, then I can only attribute it to the new food I put him on.
