Keep the Jo in an area where she cannot come in close contact with the faces of the cats and keep the cats away so they cannot rub their faces on the cage bars. Most upper respiratory infections in cats are caused by feline herpesvirus or calicivirus which are not contagious to dogs, however occasionally there are some bacteria that might be contagious to dogs. Hi, I've never heard of a cat being allergic to a rabbit but it is possible she got some dust in her eyes. I suggest monitoring her eyes for redness, greenish discharge or cloudiness. If you don't see any of that, she should be okay. If you do see those signs, I suggest taking her to a vet to have her eyes checked. If one of your friends has a sick cat at their home, they can spread the infection to your cat if they have any contamination on their hands or clothes. Your cat can also contract an infection if they are in close enough contact to any outdoor cats that are sick, such as a sick cat sneezing near your open window, etc. You can picture children on a school setting and how easy it is to spread a virus...it is the same with cats.

One of the most concerning diseases for transmission from dogs to ferrets is canine distemper virus.
