My cat is breathing fast, eating less. Is it due to the hot house?

Fast breathing can be a normal way for you pet to cool himself. If the house is tolerable for you then it is likely tolerable for your pet. However, labored breathing and open mouth breathing in a cat usually indicate a more serious problem concerning the lungs and a vet visit right away is highly recommended. However, good ways to keep a pet cool is to set up fans in the home (if A/C is not in place), therefore when the pet gets hot he can just sit in front of the fan to cool off. Floor fans can be purchased from your local hardware store or department store. Keeping water available at all times is also helpful. Your English is good enough for me to understand what you are saying! I'm wondering if he could have a respiratory infection causing him to breathe faster than normal. Or if it's hot where you are, that could be a cause. Put him in a cool and dark room with plenty of cold water to see if that helps. If his breathing doesn't improve over the next 24 hours or he starts open mouth breathing, take him into a vet right away. I hope this helps!

Her breathing should have stabilized by now, and this can be an indication of a problem. She is a young cat, but it could be she has a problem with her heart causing this breathing problem. You are correct that Jeje's respiratory rate is higher than normal, but it's good that he's breathing with his mouth closed. I would be very concerned if he was opening mouth breathing, as that's a sign of respiratory distress in cats. He may not be feeling well at the moment leading to the increased respiratory rate. Because I can't see him in person, I can't say for certain he will be ok, so it's certainly fine to take him into a vet now for a health check. Otherwise, you can monitor him, and if his respiratory rate is still high in the morning, I would have him seen by a vet.
