My cat has a bone sticking out of its anus. Should I try to remove it?

He seems to have a big piece of poop stuck. That hurts a lot. Best take him to a vet tonight to remove it and check if there is an injury. You can gently try to put pressure to remove it yourself. put some gelatine or ointment around the inside of the anus to help it move. If you cannot move it fairly easily you will definitely need to take him to a petER tonight.

Definitely do not pull the plastic out. It could be anchored "further up" and you may do significant damage to her gastrointestinal tract by pulling on it. Thank you for submitting your question Bosbos. He appears to have eaten a hair or thread. You can try to remove it with very gentle pressure. If it does not does come out, do not pull harder. It could be stuck to his intestines. If you cannot easily remove it, then he should see his veterinarian. I hope this information helps!

Poor Nugget probably has a sore and inflamed little anus from her issues last week. If she's had any issues with diarrhea or straining in the litterbox, then she may need to see a vet for the proper diagnosis and medication. The pictures are not clear but this must be checked by a vet urgently. I would be concerned that this is a prolapse (when internal organs poke out) and surgical repair may be required, urgent assessment is vital as damage and trauma can occur

No, do not attempt to pull it out. It could be a mass or a vaginal prolapse. Either condition needs to be addressed by your veterinarian. If she allows, get her into a carrier and take her to your veterinarian or the nearest veterinary ER. Left untreated, she is at risk of serious infection.
