My cat's blood in urine returned after treatment. Give meds again?

This could be due to an infection that is resistant to the antibiotics being given or it could be something else like stones or a tumor. I highly recommend that you consider taking Tao to his veterinarian for reevaluation. Diagnostics that should be considered at this point include a urine culture to make sure that if there is an infection, you know which antibiotic would be best to use. The urinary tract symptoms you describe could be due to a urinary tract infection, urinary stones, a tumor, among other possibilities. A recheck would be a good idea as cats can often have inflammation of their urinary bladders without an infection or after an infection clears. It would be worrisome if Lolo continues to have issues with urination which would mean she may need long term management with diet and supplements to help reduce the occurrence of such episodes. She may have have something like coccidia or Giardia causing this issue, and those can take a while to treat. I'd take her back to the vet in the morning. Best of luck.

Causes of inappropriate urination with blood are: urinary tract infection, stress cystitis, crystals in the urine, bladder stone, or a bladder tumor. It is likely that Nina has a bacterial UTI but there are many other causes for her issues. With her history of kidney issues she should be examined and a urine sample should be tested before starting her on antibiotics. Using antibiotics inappropriately builds resistance. I recommend taking her to the Vet and trying to not let her urinate for several hours (lock her in a room with out a box) or collect a urine sample to bring with you. If she does have a UTI your Vet can appropriately dose the Clavaseptin and tell you how long based on her specific infection. I wish Nina a speedy recovery!

I cannot tell you for certain whether the spraying is associated with the current urinary issue or if it is a behavioral issue. If I had to guess, I would say it is likely related to his current medical situation. You need to talk to your vet about this as they have all his medical information that I do not have. I'm also assuming he has bladder crystals and not stones? If he has stones then he would need surgery to remove them and that may be why the urinary is bloody. You need to clarify that with your vet. I'm not sure what your question is, but if a veterinarian has looked at Bubba's urine under a microscope and determined there is an infection, it is good he is on the antibiotics. If he has been on the medications and still having problems with the urine, I would recommend seeing a vet to determine if there is something more going on, like bladder stones.
