What causes a bald spot on my cat's back leg? Why is fur missing?

My 1 year old cat Moo has a small patch of fur misding on her back leg. Its like a bald spot what could that be?

This bald patch on Moo Moo could be caused by trauma, or her pulling the hair out of that area due to itchiness. Itching in cats could be due to fleas, mites, allergies, or ringworm. I would keep an eye on the spot for now. If the hair doesn't grow back, or the spot gets bigger, then I would take Moo Moo into the vet for an exam to rule to one of the causes of itchiness I mentioned above.

    Thank you for contacting Pet Coach with your question about Anouk. It could be she is pulling the fur out because the area is itchy, or she could be excessively grooming due to stress. I'd have this checked out by a vet on Monday. The vet can diagnose the cause of her hair loss, and can treat her for it. I hope this helps.
