My cat ate grape residue. Is it toxic? When will signs appear?

The tiny bit will likely pose no serious risk of toxicity. Monitor for lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, a change in thirst or a change in urination. Unfortunately, an exact toxic dose for grapes has not yet been determined.

Symptoms of grape toxicity usually begin within 24-48 hours of ingestion, so Arlee is likely to be ok if she's had no other symptoms 5 days after eating them. The exact dose of grapes to cause toxicity is unknown, so it is very important that you don't allow Arlee to eat anymore grapes (or raisins). If she's got a rash, then I would take her into your regular vet to be evaluated for that, as there are a few different things that can cause a rash, and she may need medication to help clear it up.

Hello. This is always a bit of a quandary because there are no hard rules for raisin & grape consumption in small amounts. A few raisins in a 60-pound dog is probably or no consequence, but some dogs can react to just one. Personally, I would just watch Buddy. Most problems will develop in 6-24 hours, & consist of vomiting &/or diarrhea. If any of these should develop, get to your vet immediately. No vomiting or diarrhea by 48 hours, then he will be fine. Grape toxicity can cause kidney disease and failure. An increase in drinking and urination along with anorexia and vomiting are common side effects of that. These generally stay within 24 hours with the most severe starting 24-48 hours. So 2 days is the time to monitor for any toxicity

I think Mirz will likely be fine. The most toxic chocolate is the unsweetened baker's chocolate. Milk chocolate and white chocolate are the least toxic. It doesn't sound like she got enough to make her sick based on what you said above. I recommend you just monitor her closely for any abnormal behavior or symptoms. Thank you for reaching out about Mirz. I do not think you have any reason to be very concerned about the slippers and a possible chemical on them. It sounds like you have taken the appropriate precautions and it should be just fine. Symptoms of cleaner ingestion may include: excessive drooling, vomiting, and/or a decrease in appetite. If any of this occurs for Mirz, please seek veterinary care. But once again, I do not think you have much to be concerned about after all you have done.

There are no home remedies to prevent any adverse effects from rapes, but poisoning events and kidney failure are quite rare. Not all grapes/raisins appear to be toxic so I recommend monitoring for any change in thirst and urination
