My cat ate Gold Bond anti-itch cream. Is it toxic or dangerous?

Oh naughty Tristan! The good news is that the ingredients of Gold Bond healing cream are generally considered non-toxic, but can cause GI upset. Feeding rice is a good idea, but I would withhold food first because giving him the rice. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the diarrhea continues on the bland diet, he starts vomiting food, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away.

Hair removal cream can cause burns to the mouth, esophagus, and stomach. Because Bhaku licked some off, I would take him into the vet now. The vet can examine his mouth for signs of burns, and will likely prescribe him some medication to coat his stomach (a gut protectant) to prevent damage to his stomach. It's best he's seen by a vet now, so I would take him in right away.

It does not appear that Old Bay Seasoning has any ingredients that cause toxicity in cats and if she ingested just a few licks, it is not likely to cause her any issues, but I would monitor for vomiting/diarrhea/decreased appetite and contact your vet if these occur.

Overall it’s not toxic but it can cause some minor gastrointestinal upset depending on how much she actually ingested. This means she could have some mild vomiting and/or diarrhea. If you notice any of that then she should be examined by your vet.

Some calamine lotions have zinc as an ingredient, which could be toxic if licked off. If your lotion contains zinc, I would not recommend using this lotion. You can contact your vet for a prescription spray or ointment that can be used safely on the skin, instead. Aloe gel is another option that may soothe minor irritation and is safe if ingested (if it is only aloe).

This won't be good for him to ingest, it's a mild corticosteroid, but it's not hugely toxic to him. I would wipe it off of him with a damp cloth to keep it him from licking it. I hope this helps!
