My cat ate about a foot length of thick black cord from one of his toys. He seems to be passing it and I called a local vet and they said if he’s not showing any symptoms that might indicate a blockage, there’s nothing more they can do. However, my roommate is insisting I give him castor oil to make him poop it out faster. I am wary of any “holistic” approach. In her words it is “extremely safe for dogs, rabbits, horses, people.. so why not cats?” Is she right? Would it possibly be a good idea?
