My cat ate a toy cord. Is castor oil safe to help him poop it out?

I don't recommend to do this. Olive could cause significant GI upset. Instead use a product like Laxatone. You may also switch your food to a hair ball formula. I recommend the formula by Royal Canin. daily brushing will also help. If Oliver continues to have problems, have him examined by the veterinarian.

I'd hold off on laxatives, it's never safe to give them to cats unless specifically prescribed by a vet, and legally I cannot advise doing it. Hello, you do not need to apply any castor oil on your puppy. You could wipe his rear with a damp cloth and allow him to walk around more to stimulate him to go on his own. Feed hime wet food over dry food or offer him more water. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Your vet should have a product similar to the one you've been buying and if not ask them to order Laxatone. I would only recommend giving your cat VET approved medications and supplements. Oh no! I would try to feed him a high fiber canned food to try bulk up his stool to help him pass it. Try a light canned food or talk to your vet about prescribing him some prescription high fiber canned food if they have any. My biggest concern with a shoe lace is that it can get stuck and cause the intestines to act like an accordion and eventually rupture if not treated. Unfortunately, there is nothing else that can be done at home to help pass it. Keep a close eye on him. If he starts to vomit or stops eating, I would try to find a way to have him seen by a vet.
