I'm fairly sure (based on googling) my cat (mostly outside) cat has a problem with her left anal gland. It looks a bit like a 2nd anus ~1 in. below left of her anus (

Your description sounds like either an infected and draining anal gland abscess or possibly an abscess or wound from an injury such as a cat bite. You may try to gently clean the area with warm water. Ideally Jumpy would benefit from seeing a veterinarian and likely being started on appropriate antibiotics and pain medication.
