Is boiled chicken okay for my cat's birthday? Any other safe treats?

You may try giving him commercial cats treats (there is a brand called Temptations that most cats seem to love). Greenies are treats that are actually good for their teeth and come in many flavors as well. Any type of meat you give Pelly needs to be lean and free of fat and cooked. You may try a small amount (like a pinky finger nail size) of beef or turkey. Remember this should only be in moderation. These foods could upset his tummy if he is sensitive or they are given in excess. I hope this helps.

Hello! Boiled chicken typically is fine to give to cats, but in small amounts, and without any seasonings or added ingredients. You should consider any "human food" to be a treat for your pet, and give small amounts every once in a while. Treats should only make up 10% or less of your pet's overall diet. Milk is not always tolerated by cats, and can cause stomach issues like vomiting and diarrhea. Hope this helps!

As long as Chatran doesn’t have any special dietary problems (such as being prone to pancreatitis, or having food allergies), this is just fine and a really fun healthy treat for him! Just make sure you keep an eye on his weight, as the fat from the boiled chicken will be adding some calories to his daily intake. :-) Hope this helps!

Cats can eat boiled white meat chicken. It should be plain. This is fine to feed for an unspent tummy or as a treat but this not balanced. Cats and kittens need to eat a balanced diet long term. I hope this helps.

Hello, and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Small bits of cooked chicken can be a good treat for a cat, but I would stay away from the other foods you mentioned. None of those foods are dangerous, but cheese and milk can cause diarrhea and GI upset, and crackers & bread are not very nutritious for cats. Better to stick with little bits of cooked meat. I would recommend a completely balanced cat food. I am not sure how old she is, but some recommended brands are: Royal Canin, Hill's Science, Evo (Innova) or Eukanuba. She should be eating three times a day (kitten food) if she is still a kitten and 2 times a day (adult food) if she is an adult cat. Best of luck with your pet Pearl.
