I found a cracked egg with a baby bird. Is it too late to save it?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

I found this egg on the floor. The shell is serverly cracked, however there is still a almost fully formed baby bird. How do I save it??

The image provided does not appear to show a viable chick. If it isn't moving, it is likely dead. If it is moving, the mortality rate for an underdeveloped chick with a cracked egg is, unfortunately, very high. The best you can do is keep it warm and hope it will "hatch" on it's own.
