My Quaker parrot is stretching head and regurgitating. Should I worry?

Regurgitation can be caused by many thing such as ingestion of foreign material (plastic, fabric, wood, etc), toxic ingestion (lead, zinc,plants), metabolic disorders (liver, kidney), infections and several viral diseases. Each of these have different means of diagnosis and possible treatments, therefore a veterinary visit is recommended. Chronic regurgitation can lead to dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, malnutrition, and more, making a veterinary visit even more expedient. Try offering small amounts of food and water, more frequently to decrease possibility of regurgitation. Good luck.

A short period of 10-15 minutes, in the steamy bathroom can help open nasal passages. A veterinary visit is recommended to assess. Regurgitating is normal in certain situations as is molting. Monitor for lethargy, decreased appetite, loose droppings, excessive scratching or feather plucking. See your veterinarian or an experienced avian vet for an exam if necessary.

This is likely to be related to PBFD, as you probably know already this disease has no cure and it is eventually fatal, you should monitor her in the next few days to see if it was a one time thing or if the problem is getting worse. if it is getting worse you will need to take her to an avian vet ASAP.
