My budgie ate fuzz and is throwing up. Should I take him to the vet?

It's a very complicated condition, especially in birds, you need to take him to an avian vet specialist and see if something can be done to help him, if the string is not too far does it might be possible to remove it with an endoscope.

Primary reasons that are likely are heavy metal toxicity, ingested foreign bodies, mega-bacteria and more. A veterinary visit for radiographs and blood work is recommended. Anti-emetic (anti-vomiting) medications can be given by injection, so might reduce/stop regurgitation, that can then allow oral medications to be given. Subcutaneous fluids might have to be given to maintain hydration. Were follow up radiographs taken after the initial ones? A gastrointestinal foreign body must still be considered. Good luck.
