My bird fell, can't fly, sounds sick. No vet nearby, what do I do?

There are no medications that can be prescribed over the internet. But providing heat support in the 80-85 degrees range, 24/7 might allow him to conserve some energy that he would normally use to heat himself. Remove perches and allow to stand on a flat soft surface (towel or blanket). Ensure that food and water are within easy reach. Using a small syringe without a needle, to offer water is very important. Go slow as to not allow aspiration into the lungs. Most pet stores sell baby bird hand rearing formulas, in an attempt to give calories. Still, a veterinary visit is best. Good luck.

Give him some peace and quiet and he may come around and gain some strength. It sounds like he is in shock and possible injured. You can only do your best, and often wild birds don't do well when they are injured.

Internal injuries could be present that could be affecing Indi's ability to eat or perform normal behaviors. Until you can get to the vet, or if you can't get to one, the best course of action is to keep Indi in a calm, quiet and warm hospital cage with low perches and easy access to food and water to minimize any further injury. However, if he doesn't perk back up, he needs to be seen in person by a professional as soon as possible.
