Unfortunately a bird with a broken wing will not be able to survive in the wild, even after the fracture has healed. if you would consider keeping it then i would recommend to take him to the vet, if it is a simple fracture there is a special bandage that can be done to fix it.

I'm sorry to hear that. Ideally, google wildlife rehabilitation in your area. Realistically, it doesn't sound like this bird is going to survive. For that reason, I would recommend that you contact a vet ASAP, and explain the situation. The vet can humanely euthanize the pigeon if he/she is concerned that the pigeon won't survive or be able to survive in the wild if it does recover.

Congenital/development problems or diseases such as paramyxoviurs, PBFD, bacterial meningitis, are all possible. A veterinary visit is recommended to assist with a diagnostic/treatment plan. They could be pushing her out of the nest due to her condition, and might need hand-rearing. Good luck.

It is, therefore, recommended that your parakeet be examined by a vet. If no other cause is detected and trauma remains the main suspicion, at this late stage, 3 weeks after the initiation of the symptoms, treatment options are limited. Some cases will improve with time, while in others the damage may be irreversible.

Provide food and water and minimize stress and handling once separated. This is difficult to say. Since this is a wild bird (Cape Sparrow), there may be a number of things wrong, such as infection or injury or even poisoning. I suggest you take the bird to a wildlife station. They should be able to help you and the bird.
