Why isn't my African Grey's tongue bump getting better on antibiotics?

Hello, my African grey "Alexis" has a big white bump on her tongue, she is currently on antibiotics from the vet. What should be done next, because it's not really helping thank you

The vet will be hoping that there is infection which the medicine will combat. However if the tissue on the tongue is ulcerated and dead it can be hard to treat as there is no blood supply. If it doesn't start to improve she may have to anaesthetised to allow the vet to debride the dead tissue and promote healing.
