What causes white foam in my pig's nose? Is it an infection?

Without knowing more information about your pigs, it would be hard to tell. Pigs can foam at the mouth in anticipation of eating, and may foam or get excited as you are placing their food, especially younger pigs or piglets. Boars can also foam if there is a gilt/sow in heat nearby that is exciting to them. However, if they are showing any signs of illness such as decreased eating, pawing at their mouths or the ground, lethargy, weight loss, behavioral changes, etc, the foaming may indicate something underlying such as a virus, injury to the mouth, bacterial infection, or toxicity that should be checked out by a local vet.

Vomiting is serious in pigs. You need to call the vet for a visit. This could be a viral infection, bacterial infection or a gastro-intestinal problem. Take their temperature if you can, and tell the vet on the phone. They will need an exam.

I'm sorry to hear Nana isn't feeling well. I would determine if she is vomiting the white foam, or if it is produced after a strong coughing fit. If it is after coughing it can be due to an upper respiratory infection such as kennel cough. If it is secondary to vomiting, then it could be due to a GI upset of some kind. I would recommend she be seen by her regular veterinarian to determine the underlying cause for her issue, have any necessary testing done (X-rays, bloodwork) and get started on any treatment she may need (antibiotics, cough suppressant) to help resolve the issue. He is gorgeous! White stuff from the boss sounds like nadal discharge which is usually due to an upper respiratory infection or foreign material . I recommend taking him to the vet to confirm this. T is best to get such things treated quickly before they start to move down onto the lungs. Treatment will likely be oral antibiotics.

Poor Baby! I would strongly recommend to have a vet take a look at her. At this age, she is very fragile and could have develop a serious bacterial or viral infection that she needs treatment for. If left untreated for too long, it may be much harder to treat or possibly even fatal with her young age.

Hi Your piglets need to be seen by a vet. Vomiting can be caused by parasites, viruses or bacterial infection in piglets. Vomiting can cause lots of dehydration, so try and see if they'll eat. Your vet can find them medication to help.
