I would recommend starting Flea and tick prevention now. If you use a collar I would recommend the Seresto collar. If you didn't want the collar than using a pill is typically the best for dogs. I don't see a lot of fleas and/or ticks when people use those products instead of topical. You can use Bravecto, Nexguard or Simparica. Thank you for using Boop by Petco.

I recommend oral flea & tick preventatives. There are several brands, and all are effective: Nexgard, Simparica, and Credelio are monthly, or Bravecto which is given every 12 weeks. My top two are Nexgard and Bravecto. These are prescription products available from your veterinarian. Hope this helps!

I’m glad you are concerned about keeping ticks off of your dog. They can spread lots of different diseases. I prefer an oral flea/tick tablet like Nexgard (lasts one month) or Bravecto (lasts 3 months) . The only flea/tick collar that I would recommend is the Serestro collar (lasts 8 months). All of these products work great and your veterinarian probably has one or more of them at their clinic. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Boop by Petco!
