You would need to use an excessive amount in order to "overdose" most reptiles or amphibians. As long as you follow label directions, you should be fine. ReptiSafe is an excellent product. (This is my own opinion which comes from personal use)

That's very interesting that Lars believes he is a frog. Frogs are carnivorous so they will eat meat. They also eat flies, mosquitoes, moths, dragonflies, grasshoppers, and worms. Some large frogs will eat small snakes, mice, baby turtles, and sometimes other smaller frogs.

Have the skinny one examined by a veterinarian experienced in treating reptiles/amphibians. Submit a stool sample to diagnose intestinal parasites. Although this is a docile species, monitor for bullying or aggression in case the larger one is not allowing its cagemate to eat.

Feeder fish can be added to the diet, however you must consider the source. Typically these fish are kept in a tank with hundreds of other fish. This predisposes them to infection and parasites which could be transmitted to your frog. As an occasional treat, they are fine. Stick with responsibly raised insects and nightcrawlers. Another treat to be given occasionally would be a pinkie (baby mouse).

It is too small to be used for much beyond transport, quarantine or temporary housing (i.e. during cleaning of main enclosure). The plastic construction does not allow for light or heat sources which most reptiles or exotic pets require.
