I hate to hear that Sam is so miserable! Definitely for the fleas I would recommend an oral flea product such as Simparica or Comfortis. These are the top products on the market and will kill any fleas that land on Sam within 3-4 hours. Topical products take 12 - 24 hours. You will need to use a good flea prevention on him and any other pets in the house for a solid 6 months. To help his skin to feel better, give him a cool water bath daily. You can also give him an over the counter antihistamine. If you have an elizabethan collar for him, you can also apply a small amount of cortisone cream. The collar will keep Sam from licking. You need to rub it in well and make sure he cannot lick it. You might also call the clinic daily and check to see if they have any cancelations. You might be able to get Sam in earlier. I hope this helps!

Unfortunately there isn't a lot you can do in this situation since there is no substitute for insulin. You can wait until morning and go to your nearest vet who has some insulin on hand. I would also contact your local ER vet to see if they have some insulin readily available to give to you to hold you over until Shorty gets his supply in the mail. Another alternative is to have your vet call in a prescription to your nearest pharmacy (i.e. Walgreens, CVS) to give her until her supply comes in. She may just have an extra supply of insulin on hand, but that is better than having her blood sugar too high and potentially causing further complications (i.e. ketoacidosis) depending on how much longer she has to wait. Best of luck to you and getting Shorty's insulin delivered soon! If it comes in some time tomorrow, although not ideal, she will likely be just fine. Take care.

All of the brands you listed are good shampoos. Duoxo is one of my go to shampoos but many are equivalent. A chlorhexadine/ketoconazole shampoo helps treat yeast and bacteria. The main thing is to lather Sibyl up and allow the lather to soak for 20 minutes or so before rinsing. If needed you can bathe every 2-3 days. I also recommend an oral omega 3 supplement such as Derm Caps. Remember if you use topical flea or heart worm prevention the medicated shampoos will strip it out. I recommend oral preventatives for dogs getting medicated baths. https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/nutrition-skin-and-dogs https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/pruritus-itching-and-scratching-in-dogs I hope this helps. Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Poor Meco! I would check him closely for fleas as the hind end is a common spot for fleas. I like the Seresto collar, Nexgard, Advantix, Simparica and Bravecto for fleas. You can bath him in a medicated shampoo (see link) and try an antihistamine to help the scratching until your Vet appointment. If you find fleas treat them will help immensely. Good luck! https://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=36967 https://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=27957 https://www.petcoach.co/canigive/dog/zyrtec/
