Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Poor Rocco! Your pictures look like a deep pyoderma (skin infection). To try and treat at home I would use a medicated shampoo that contains benzoyl peroxide once daily on the shin and then apply mupirocin ointment on it twice daily. You can google this ointment and find it online. If it doesn't get better Rocco should see a Vet for oral antibiotics. I wish you the best! https://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=21564

Certainly this food is much better than grain free! But Coast and Range is not a brand I typically recommend. It sounds like this food isn't agreeing with Rocco. I'd put him on a brand like Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, Purina ProPlan, or Iams.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! Based on the pictures it appears that Rocco may have either an open wound or a growth of some kind that has started oozing. I would recommend he be evaluated by his regular veterinarian to determine if he needs stitches, etc based on what the underlying cause for his lesion is and to start any treatment (antibiotics, anti-inflammatory) that may be needed. Good luck!

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! Loss of appetite, vomiting and lethargy can be observed with many conditions such as gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, kidney disease, pancreatitis, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have Rocco evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to check for these possibilities and others depending on the findings on exam. Treatment would be based on findings. Good luck and have a great day! Hoping for a speedy recovery!

Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. For relief of the itching / discomfort, you can use a product called Sentry Hydrocortisone spray which can be found at Petco. I also like using Pramosoothe spray, which can be found online. These products can be applied 2-3 times per day to help with the relief. I would try and find out why Rocco is so prone to the allergies though to help with the overall problem rather than masking the symptoms of the problem. If this is a year round issue, he may have a disease called Atopic Dermatitis, which can be treated but can be difficult and expensive to manage. I would also recommend Welactin Omega 3 fish oil capsules. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
