Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Poor Rocco! Your pictures look like a deep pyoderma (skin infection). To try and treat at home I would use a medicated shampoo that contains benzoyl peroxide once daily on the shin and then apply mupirocin ointment on it twice daily. You can google this ointment and find it online. If it doesn't get better Rocco should see a Vet for oral antibiotics. I wish you the best! https://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=21564

Certainly this food is much better than grain free! But Coast and Range is not a brand I typically recommend. It sounds like this food isn't agreeing with Rocco. I'd put him on a brand like Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, Purina ProPlan, or Iams.

Hi. Poor Rocco. Unfortunately there isnt anything from home to give or treat with. The probable diagnosis would depend on his vaccine history and previous veterinary care. Possibilities could include parvo virus, gastritis, dietary indiscretions, foreign body stuck in intestines, pancreatitis, and many more. An exam and some labs will help guide us to the most probable diagnosis. I would get him in right away, even if its far away. If not first thing in the am. If you want to open a consultation and provide more history, feel free.

The local Petco can likely handle both. You can use the link below to find the nearest one as well as the dates and times for a Vaccination /Microchip Clinic. If the offer grooming services, the nail trim can be done as long as Roscoe can be restrained safely. https://www.vetcoclinics.com/services-and-clinics/clinic-locations-and-schedules/

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! Loss of appetite, vomiting and lethargy can be observed with many conditions such as gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, kidney disease, pancreatitis, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have Rocco evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to check for these possibilities and others depending on the findings on exam. Treatment would be based on findings. Good luck and have a great day! Hoping for a speedy recovery!
