Not every dog will tolerate wearing clothing, so if your dog is scared of a dress I would not put a dress on your dog. It isn’t a natural behavior for them to wear clothing so some will not tolerate it. If you are determined you can try getting them used to the clothing by just using it as an item they can lay with/by and giving them treats whenever they approach/touch the dress. You can also try starting smaller with bandanas or a t shirt and giving lots of rewards if your dog tolerates this.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! It looks a little red but it could just be the coloring of the picture. As long as there is no heat, swelling or discharge it should be ok. There is a doughnut collar that may work- it blows up around the neck. A shirt would work too. One of those should help you out. Good luck and kisses to your pup!

Minor redness, in the absence of other symptoms, is likely no cause for concern. Keep the site clean and dry. Restrict activity to just leash walks for elimination and avoid running, jumping or rough play. Monitor the site for swelling, discharge, bleeding or bruising. Monitor Lucy for lethargy, fever or decreased appetite. Keep the e-collar (cone) on her until the sutures are removed.

It would help to see a photo of her incision. Please take a photo and upload it so we can check whether the incision looks normal. Usually a few weeks after the surgery the incision should not be red. But, as I said, upload a pic and we can check and tell you whether it is concerning or not.

As long as you are comfortable, Ruby should be comfortable. If you see her shivering, you can try a tiny sweater, but by your description, it sounds as if this would be more stressful for her. Make sure she has a comfy, padded bed she can go to if she gets chilly.
