Happy birthday, Peko! I'm not entirely sure what smackers and petsile fruits are, but they look to be some sort of seed treat made especially for birds, so it should be OK to give. If you'd like to give the birds a special treat, some veggies such as salad greens, berries, fruits like a little apple or pear, etc can all be given as a fun snack as an alternate option. Other items such as spray millet are another fun treat most budgies enjoy. Make sure you are giving any treats in moderation and still feeding their regular diet to ensure they stay healthy and do not have any GI upset.

It is best to provide Ava with a few different types of perches. They should range in diameter. Natural perches are best, as they provide varying shapes which is best for your bird’s feet. A pedicure perch is also recommended (ie: "sweet feet" perch) which is a textured perch that helps keep toenails trimmed and smooth, as well as the bird’s beak. You can find a plethora of perches on Amazon. ( https://www.amazon.com/natural-perches-Parakeets/s?k=natural+perches+for+Parakeets )

A commercial pelleted diet is balanced, healthy and convenient. They can be found in most pet stores or online. Quality brands include Harrison's, Roudybush, Lafeber and Pretty Bird. You can supplement the diet with a small amount of a fortified seed mix, fresh greens and vegetables, cooked grains/beans/pastas and plain rice. Budgies and other birds also enjoy some scrambled egg occasionally.

It is an excellent food which is why I recommended it. All of their diet are great! I'm sorry if I eluded to switching the diet slowly. I did not mean that. It is best to change right away. Please refer to this link which should answer all of your questions on how to change diets. You can also call Lafeber's for help. They will be happy to help you. Thanks for reaching out about your conure. Decreased appetite often shows are dark feces. Seed is a poor diet for parrots, deficient in vitamins, minerals and proteins. Birds need to eat a wide variety of vegetables, cooked beans as a protein source and avian pellets. The head bobbing might be reversion to baby-hood, wanting to be fed by mom (induced by stress of new home). Syringe feed if needed to maintain weight. Good luck.
