Congratulations!! I would recommend making sure you get kitten appropriate toys, two litter boxes and kitten food. At 1 month of age I would recommend a wet kitten food. I would also recommend clumping litter for her. You can always get her other fun stuff like a soft bed for her. I would hold off on any treats until she gets used to her new home. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

Change in environment can be very stressful for animals so I am not surprised that he is having some problems adjusting. You could try a Feliway diffuser and some Solliquin chews and see if that helps. https://www.feliway.com/us#redirected http://www.solliquin.com/#page-top

I haven't used Beaphar products before, but just looking at their ingredients, I would probably recommend using their treats for the actual drive because it has 3 different ingredients that may help with stress. If you think that needs to be combined with a longer lasting product, it looks like the collar has both Valerian and lavender, while the spot on only has Valerian. But if your cat is not used to wearing a collar, then she may not tolerate the collar well. I would contact the company to discuss the specifics of your move and ask them for a recommendation. As far as other products to consider to help stranger cats get along, I have a couple suggestions (although the Beaphar products may be very helpful). The goal is to decrease stress between the cats. One option for decreasing stress is to add a Feliway Diffuser ( https://www.feliway.com ) to your house. This is a calming pheromone that will work for a month. I have also had luck with Rescue Remedy ( http://www.bachflower.com/rescue-remedy-pet/ ) which can be added to the water. You could also consider calming music specifically for cats ( http://throughadogsear.com/tace/through-a-cats-ear-1-music-for-calming/ ). Good luck! I hope that was helpful. Thanks for using PetCoach.

Hello and thank you for reaching out to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. If you are looking for ways to enrich your cat, you can purchase things like a cat tree for it to climb on, or toys for it to play with. Cats tend to enjoy Temptations cat treats, though they are high calorie and should only be given in moderation. I hope this is helpful!

The original is still the best. There are generic versions, however I found them unreliable. The price difference is not huge, so I suggest you invest in the original Feliway spray from CEVA. Check on line (search for ) "Compare prices for Feliway spray". You can also start leaving out the carrier with the door open, put a nice bed in it and feed her near it at first, moving the food closer and closer and finally feeding her in the carrier. This will also take some anxiety away. When driving in the car, cover the carrier, so the cat cannot look out the window, as this is really scary for a cat as she cannot understand why everything passes her by so fast.
