Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Oh no! With the previous history of a C-section and how she is behaving now has me really worried. She needs to see a Vet now, waiting until the morning is not advised. Is there an open emergency hospital or vet that has hours now? I do not know what shape Fruity will be in and if the kittens will be alive by the morning. I wish you add Fruity the best!

That is fast turn around for such a long trip. If she rides week and is it easily stressed by new places or new rounding then you can. Most cats don’t ride well and since you will only be gone a day, it will likely be better to make arrangements for her to stay behind They travel safest in a carrier and sometimes sedation is needed so talk to your vet about medication

It is more rare for a cat to have a difficult time delivering kittens, however there is a possibility a kitten can become stuck. The whole litter is usually born within 6 hours with kittens every 30 to 60 minutes. If the cat is stressed or distracted she is able to stop her labor and restart the next day. However, if the female has been having strong contractions for greater than 60 minutes, she needs assistance in passing the kitten. Bring her and any kittens delivered to the vet’s office right away. Keep watching her, but do not disturb her. If she does not produce another kitten in about an hour and the red bubble is still there and looks thick, like fleshy tissue, you need to take her and her babies to the vet as she may have a uterine prolapse, which can cause her to die, if it is not reduced.

Hello and thank you for reaching out to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. If she recently had kittens, her nipples may feel more plump than they typically would, since she may have residual milk in there that needs to resorb or they may still be swollen from being recently suckled on by her kittens. If she truly has not urinated in 24 hours, I would be concerned. I would check around your house for any spots, as she may have urinated outside of the litter box, since this is a new home for her. Stress can slow cat's GI tracts, so she may not defecate for a few days. As long as she is acting normally and has a good appetite and is drinking water, I would continue to monitor her at home. If she ever becomes excessively lethargic, or loses her appetite, or vomits or has diarrhea, I would have her evaluated by your veterinarian. You could try confining her to a smaller area for a day or so to make sure she is urinating. I hope this is helpful!
