Plants not only give a natural appearance to your aquarium, but they are also extremely beneficial to a well-balanced ecosystem. To keep your plant life flourishing it is helpful to add a little fertilizer supplementation.
Just like all living creatures, your aquarium plants require nutrients to grow. Adding a supplement will aid in the healthy growth of your aquarium plants.
There are a couple different ways of supplementing fertilizers into the aquarium from root tabs, liquid additives to nutrient rich substrates. The choice comes down to a couple variables such as whether you are building a natural aquarium with a garden full of greenery or a themed tank with just a few live plants.
