Customers say
Customers overwhelmingly praise this substrate for exceptional performance, with most highlighting superior humidity retention that keeps moisture levels ideal without promoting mold. Many report their pets love burrowing and digging in it, displaying visibly happier, healthier behavior. The substrate works successfully across numerous species including ball pythons, leopard geckos, crested geckos, tortoises, frogs, and hermit crabs. Reviewers appreciate its smooth texture, easy cleaning, low odor, and non-dusty nature. A few mention occasional concerns about over-saturation, but these isolated cases are vastly outweighed by widespread satisfaction.

Has anyone used this in a dig box for rats? I know it needs to be moist in order to use it for them. Just want to see peoples opinions.
Does this work well for a bearded dragon?
is this good for a ball python ?
- yes! my snake loved it because it was a little softer than the typical bedding, aspen so he would dig in it quite frequently. it’s also a little more aesthetically pleasing and a much easier cleanup :)

Would this be ok for a golden Greek tortoises habitat if i mix it with plays sand?
How many bags should I need for a 40 gallon tank
- Depends on what you're housing. If your housing something that doesn't burrow, I'd say 2-3 bags. If it does, 4-6. Also if you have live plants, the 2-3 should offer them enough to get their roots going.
