My rabbit looks woozy. What could be wrong and what should I do?

There is definitely something wrong with him, in most cases when a rabbit shows such symptoms quite suddenly it is because of gut stasis, but it could also be other things. you must take him to the vet ASAP, he will need a checkup and a simple blood test to check for stasis/blockage then he can get the proper treatment.

Have Poopu examined by a veterinarian experienced in treating rabbits. Poopu may have an ear infection that could be affecting his balance. The rappid "flickering" could be what is called nystagmus and it means your bunny feels very dizzy. If you can't find a vet with rabbit experience, your small animal vet can examine, diagnose and treat the condition.

Hi, It sounds like Luna may just be tired from the increased activity earlier in the day. However, if her appetite and defecation decrease or her behavior is otherwise altered, then that could certainly be a sign of illness. I think it’s fine to wait and monitor her, as long as she keeps eating and defeating nornally. If in doubt, don’t hesitate to take her in to see her veterinarian. Good luck!

Poor Thumper! Head tilts in rabbits are generally medical problems that need to be assessed and treated by a veterinarian. Often they are caused by an infection in the middle or inner ear that almost always require systemic antibiotics. Though here are occasionally other things that can cause these (tumors, abscesses, trauma, etc.) with Thumper being so young and you reporting no history of trauma they are lower on my list of differentials. I would get Thumper to his vet soon because the last thing you want is for him to start feeling badly, stop eating, and go into GI Stasis which can be life threatening. I am very glad to hear that Monty is still interested in food, as anorexia is usually one of the first signs of illness in a rabbit. Is it possible that he could have injured himself? If he'll let you, feel around on his body to see if he winces or tenses up when you touch him in a particular place. Watch his movement for any limping or dragging of paws or feet. I would also see if he'll let you look into his ears to check for any parasites or goo that might be making him uncomfortable and droopy-eared. If the above seems normal and the behavior continues, it's time to call the vet. This is doubly true if he stops eating or has a decreased appetite. After all the medical possibilities have been ruled out, you can safely talk to your vet about behavior modification. Any major changes in the home (construction, new people) could also potentially make him act more aloof, so keep that in mind as well. Good luck, and I hope Monty goes back to normal soon!

A swab of the ear(s) can be examined under a microscope in the clinic to diagnose or rule out infection (bacterial, fungal, parasites). Afterwards, the appropriate medication can be dispensed.

Sunshine looks very, very sick from your pictures and I am incredibly concerned about him. He needs veterinary medical attention immediately. While I'm not sure what's going on with him, rabbits rarely lay on their sides with their eyes closed. As prey animals, they usually sleep crouched, ready to go at any moment and are easily rousable and alert. A rabbit that is not eating usually has something pretty serious that is making him sick. Rabbits eat continuously to keep their digestive tracts healthy and moving at all times - this is one of the reasons they poop so much! Dental disease is very common and can cause painful mouth sores that may stop a rabbit from eating, but we can also see kidney disease, bladder stones, and intestinal diseases that can be life-threatening and painful that will cause a rabbit to stop eating. Regardless, I am very worried about Sunshine and recommend you take him to your veterinarian immediately. He or she will likely recommend fluids to help with dehydration, especially if he hasn't been eating or drinking, and may suggest blood work and/or x-rays to evaluate his internal organ function and look for things like bladder stones or a bowel impaction. Please take Sunshine to see your veterinarian as soon as possible to give him the best possible chance.
