Can a DNA test tell me my new rabbit's age, breed, or gender?

It can be quite difficult to an untrained eye with a rabbit that young, but is possible. It's best to have one person hold the bunny upside down and hold the back legs, so it can't kick. Once the bunny is calm, look for the penis (testicles will not be present) or vagina. Do a google image search of "how to sex a rabbit" to find good examples of the difference in anatomy. This looks very much like an English Spot rabbit. Unfortunately there are many cross breeds out there, so, unless the rabbit comes from a breeder directly and with pedigree papers, there really is no way to determine what breed a rabbit is.

Yes, a vet can examine Lola and give an approximate age. I would have her seen by a vet to have this done but to also get a health check. Sometimes animals from these large chain stores are not in the best health.

Regarding possible mucus from the rectum, often associated with dietary inflammation, so limit vegetables and other treats. The best methods to determine is she is intact of not are (1) take a radiograph as many of the sutures used are recognized; (2) an ultrasound to identify a uterus and ovaries; or (3) blood hormone levels. Observation for female nesting or aggression might lead to answer also. As per trying to bond with the other rabbits, there is no reason not to try, although not all rabbits get along whether spayed or not. Good luck.
