Do Petco stores sell safe and fun toys for my pet rabbit?

Bunnies can get lots of leafy greens (kale, lettuce, bok choy, broccoli), and other treats like carrots, apples, banana, oranges, mandarins, grapes . 75% should be hay, 20% should be greens, and 5% should be treats. Bunnies are notorious at chewing up objects in the house! It is a natural behaviour, which we can try to redirect by giving her other options to chew on, such as timothy hay disguised inside cardboard tubes, commercial hay tunnels, or other types of bunny-safe toys where you can hide the hay in. Basically, anything that involves searching out and chewing hay would be great because it allows them to act out on their chewing in a safe, healthy, and mentally stimulating way. Unfortunately I agree with you, the fleece blanket is not safe if she is potentially ingesting pieces and it should be removed. I hope this helps! And have fun with your bun - she is such a cutie!

They can chew on cardboard as long as they don't ingested large quantities. Offer rabbit safe wooden chew toys as well. Their teeth are constantly growing, so they need to chew to keep them at an appropriate length.

Congrats on your new addition! It looks like you have everything you need. A water bottle wasn't listed, so if you don't have one be sure to pick one up at the local Petco. Rabbit safe chew toys can also be found at the store. Melo can eat as much timothy hay, oat hay or similar grasses as he wants. Do not feed him any alfalfa and limit pellets to about 1/8 cup daily. he can get a cup or two of fresh greens daily as well. If you have any additional questions, you can post them here.

Your rabbit may be bored. Rabbits are playful, energectic animals that require a sizable enclosure that contains a nest box, toys, a toileting area, feeding area, and room to play. Toys can include cardboard boxes, cardboard toilet paper/towel rolls (basically any cardboard shape), wooden chew toys, hard plastic baby toys, cat toys, and dog toys, metal measuring spoons, bowls, and small cups (as well as many other options). Many toys designed for parrots are also suitable for rabbits. Recommendations for appropriately sized enclosures range from 8-12 square feet (or 4-6X the size of your rabbit), with a larger exercise area. Your rabbit should also have unlimited access to Timothy or mixed grass hay. Hay stuffed into boxes, bags, or other types of toys makes for an enjoyable treat. Fresh vegetables and the occasional fruit should be a regular part of your rabbit's diet. Rabbit pellets/chow should be limited. Thanks for reaching out about Fluffy. Large plastic tubes (from Home Depot or other) or large cardboard boxes with doors and windows can be used as play structures. Large cat toys such as plastic balls, many rabbits find enjoyable. Care must be taken to monitor ingestion. Good luck.
