I would recommend for you to take both mice into the store where they were purchased and ask someone to look at both mice to tell you if you got a female by mistake. Mice reproduce VERY quickly so you need to know this asap. If you infect have a female, the pet store may offer to take the babies. Most commonly adult Syrian hamsters weight in between 140 and 180 grams. I would recommend to try to avoid as much as possible fatty seeds like sunflower ones. A general rule of thumb that I use is around 70-75F for mice. Please ensure there are no drafts as well. I would also recommend checking to make sure he is eating normally (this can be hard in mice as sometimes they will cache food in different areas) and producing urine and feces. If you have done all of these things and Gus Gus still isn't behaving normally, I would recommend that you have him evaluated by a veterinarian. There are a number of clinics in your area that have clinicians who are comfortable in seeing exotic companion animals, such as mice like Gus Gus. I would recommend having Peachy examined by a vet. Mice can develop tumors just like humans, and with the small size of their body, it can be some obviously large very quickly. A vet will do an exam and determine if this is the case. If it is, they can discuss treatment options and help you watch out for signs of decreasing quality of life.
