Why is my guinea pig sneezing, itching, and has a crusty nose?

If the crust has any yellowish or green color to it then I would definitely recommend that she see a veterinarian. If it is only clear I would be less concerned. CJ is probably suffering from an upper respiratory infection, this is quite common in guinea pigs and it's treated with oral antibiotics for a couple weeks. i would recommend taking him to the vet ASAP in order to get it treated.

Poor Oreo! Make sure you don’t have a cedar substrate - some Guinean pigs are allergic to this. My favorite substrate is carefresh. It look like cotton. Since he is coughing as well, I do worry about an upper respiratory infection. You will need to call the specific petco location that you are interested in going to as the prices may vary and you will need to be sure to make an appointment with a vet who is comfortable seeing guinea pigs. Sneezing can be due to infections, inflammation, dental disease, nasal foreign bodies and more. iI no discharge, try changing the substrate, especially if wood shavings or other dusty material. Bald spots behind the ears are usually normal as long as the skin is not crusty. A veterinary visit is recommended to assess and provide a diagnostic/treatment plan.
