I'm sorry that Squirdy isn't feeling well! Paralysis is definitely cause for concern, and can be caused by serious illnesses such as back issues and certain cancers. However, you vet can perform the appropriate diagnostics to determine the cause and recommend the appropriate course of action. While you wait for you vet appointment, I recommend providing food for Squirdy on the cage floor so that she can easily reach it. You can put water on her pellets as well to make sure that she is getting water. I hope this helps and that all is well with Squirdy!

I recommend resting her for the next 48 hours. No running, jumping, or playing. Take her out to toilet on a leash, and bring her right back in when she's done. If she still appears painful after this time, then I would take her into the vet for an exam. The vet can diagnose where the pain is coming from, and can dictate a treatment plan for it. She may also benefit from some pain medications, which the vet can prescribe. Please do not give her any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. Poor Math! I would limit his activity for a bit as best as possible and if he continues limping for more than a day, seems in pain, or new symptoms appear, seek out veterinary care in person to have him examined and treated.

Spinal injury is possible especially if Nefarix cannot move his hindlimbs. Hopefully, he is experiencing weakness and not paralysis. Take the wheel out of his cage so he can rest. Monitor his ability to urinate and defecate. If he cannot urinate or defecate, you must get him to a veterinarian as soon as possible.

I'm worried about Biggens. Two years old is actually pretty old for a rat. I would be worried about a blood clot or tumor causing damage. Unfortunately there's not likely many treatment options for him. If he is not improving within 12- 24 hours, take him into the veterinarian for an exam and to find out what the next steps are.
