Thanks for reaching out about Blizzard. Dwarf hamsters typically have a life expectancy of 2.5-3.0 years. Just because of showing signs of illness, does not mean approaching death. A veterinary visit is recommended to assess and provide a diagnostic/treatment plan. Signs of dying depend on which organ system is affected.
