Help! My bunny is weak, not eating, and can't move. What to do?

My bunny has hardly eaten at all the last two days. I am very worried as she feels very light and is weak. She can’t move and has been like this! I can not afford a vet and need advice ASAP! Please get back to me it would mean the world.

You need to get Milly to a vet. You must understand that not everything can be fixed at home. Her symptoms are very vague meaning that anything can cause them so it's impossible for us to offer advice without knowing the underlying problem. When you take on a pet it is your responsibility to get them care when they are sick.

Dental issues are very common in rabbits so she may have a problem in her mouth making her not want to eat. She could have a virus. She could have a problem with any of her internal organs. I can't say. While you are trying to find a vet for her all I can offer you is that you try to force feed her with this critical care diet.

Given his age and weight loss, he needs to be seen by a veterinarian...any veterinarian. If necessary, a specialist can be contacted by phone or online by your vet. Veterinary reference labs may provide consultation services as well. For now, offer as much timothy hay as he will eat. Offer some Oxbow Critical Care for Herbivores as well. You may be able to find it in pet stores or in the local vet clinic. Keep Bun Bun warm and as stress free as possible. Hi there. You are going to have to force feed her with a syringe. This is very concerning and your rabbit will need to see a vet today. Not eating for a herbivore such as a rabbit can cause its gut bacteria to starve and in turn you rabbit may die. He could also have an intestinal obstruction (usually caused by a hairball), or a tooth abscess. Gut bacteria can die quickly. Rabbit weak, not eating, GI stasis? What to do before the vet?

Hello and welcome to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I am sorry that your little rabbit isn't feeling well. I agree it sounds like it might be GI stasis or a blockage and this is very serious. If there are any 24 hour vets you can go to then I would go right away. Otherwise, you can dilute the critical care with water as it says on the package, and feed it every 2 hours. You can try adding a bit of pineapple juice as well. If the abdomen isn't bloated you can try gentle massage of the abdomen, but only if your little rabbit doesn't seem sore. Best of luck with your little one, and get it to a vet as soon as possible!

My rabbit can't move and won't eat. What emergency steps to take?

Oh dear, I'm quite concerned about Poppy. I recommend taking him directly to a veterinarian. He may be quite ill and be too lethargic to move, or he may have injured his back - rabbits are very fragile and prone to back injuries. Be very careful lifting him and do your best not to move him around in case he does have an injury. Place him directly into a box or carrier with a towel in it so he doesn't slip around, and transport him to the nearest vet. Your vet will do an exam, and based on their findings may recommend bloodwork and/or x-rays to determine why he won't move or eat. I hope this helps, and I hope he feels better!

My rabbit is weak, losing weight, can't walk, and incontinent. Help!

You need to get Tyrian to a vet ASAP and either find out what is wrong with him and get him treated or have him humanely euthanized. You cannot go on letting him suffer. This is terrible. I don't know what is wrong just based on him symptoms as they are too vague but they are very serious. The vet will need to examine him and then give you the options.
