My turtle gets stressed and swims fast when I walk in. What to do?

My turtle is in a pot in my room and whenever I enter the room he behaves as if stressed, starts swimming rapidly What to do??

Thanks for the inquiry. Sound like Bolt is living up to his name. Is appears as if Bolt is displaying a normal avoidance response. Over time he should become acclimated to this disturbance but you can also add a visual blind, such as a thick piece of paper on the outside of the tank, to provide more security. You might want to also consider moving the tank to an area of the room where Bolt will be exposed to less humane traffic.
