Is it safe to use a hamster's old fish tank for a leopard gecko?

Hello! I’ve been thinking about purchasing a leopard gecko and I’m not sure if your know anything about this but, would it be okay to use a fish tank that was originally used for a hamster?

Thanks for reaching out about Blep. Using a aquarium as a terrarium should work well. Hamsters don't have anything that could be transmitted to a gecko, just clean out well. For geckos, husbandry is paramount, providing the correct temperature zone, UVB radiation exposure, humidity and diet will provide the best results.
