How do I properly soak my crested gecko, or should I just spray it?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Hello. So someone said to soak my crested gecko. How do you soak them. Do they mean to spray them or to actually soak them like a snake? If so, how do you soak crested geckos? Thanks

Thanks for reaching out about Aspen. It is sometimes difficult to soak them since they climb walls well. A shallow pan with a lid might keep Aspen in the water for several minutes, by not allowing to climb out. Just don't make it stressful. Abort if concerned and leave to spraying/misting.
Good luck.
