Bearded dragon: black-purple tail/spots & not eating. What's wrong?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Reptile | Bearded Dragon | Female | 6 years and 8 months old | 3 lbs

My bearded dragon tail is a black purple and she hasn’t eaten for three days. She has a spot on her shoulder that’s normally gray but it’s also a black purple. What is wrong with her?

Thanks for reaching out about Diaga. Concerns would be around a septic infection, inability to clot (liver or bone marrow problems), or other concerns. A veterinary visit is recommended to assess and provide a diagnostic/treatment plan. This does sound serious.
Good luck.
