Can I overdose my African dwarf frog using too much ReptiSafe?

The salt would probably irritate the snails. If you still have frogs in the tank, consider a salt bath instead. Dissolve 1 tablespoon of salt in 5 gallons of water then remove the frog(s) from the main tank and allow for a swim of no more than 60 seconds in the salt bath. Rinse then return them to the other tank or hospital tank.

Maintain pristine water quality in the main tank and monitor the fish for similar symptoms. A bit of aquarium salt ( not table or Epsom salt) can be used as a general tonic to reduce stress, improve gill function, treat minor infection and aid in recovery. Pedialyte is a balanced electrolyte replacement solution that has sodium, potassium & chloride, & sometimes high amounts of glucose (sugar). That's terrific news! It is great to read of your frog's recovery. Most keepers will keep a bare bottom tank. This will prevent ingestion of substrate and makes finding food easier for the frogs. It also makes it easier to keep the tank clean. Sand would be fine. If they inadvertently ingest some, it should pass easily. If you decide on gravel or river rock, make sure it it large enough to prevent ingestion.

Check the water chemistry and quality. Use a home test kit or submit a water sample for testing. Most pet stores will do this for free or for a small fee. Aim for 0 ppm ammonia and nitrites with nitrates at 20 ppm or less. Perform partial water changes to stabilize chemistry and improve water quality. use only aged or conditioned water that is temperature matched to prevent stress or shock. Fast Froggy for 2-3 days then offer bits of cooked and shelled green peas. If the issue s constipation, this should help. Maintain water temp at the upper limit to aid in digestion.For ADFs, this is about 78 F. An Epsom salt bath may also decrease the bloating. Do NOT use table salt or aquarium salt. Dissolve 1/2 teaspoon of Epsom salt in 1 gallon of conditioned water and allow for a 30 minute swim once daily. Follow label directions carefully and consider moving the frog to a hospital tank during treatment.

Vitamin D3 can be over supplemented so powdered should only be used once weekly. Exposure to ultraviolet B radiation is very important for the absorption of calcium in the intestinal tract.
